POLKA DOTS
Polka dots were a noted trend on the fall 2011 fashion show. Polka dots are fun to wear as long as they aren't over done!

This is my way of trying this trend! I wanted to be colorful, so I picked out this top from Forever 21, it's orange and has a lining of aqua blue, which makes you stand out from the color pop! You can also try polka dot scarfs to a plain shirt!

Skin Food
These are the top foods, in my opinion, that work amazingly to get you beautiful and healthy skin, So just make sure you are stacked up on these in your kitchen!

1.) Dark leafy greens, ex-KALE, SPINACH.
These are great to eat, beacuase they are rich in vitamin, especially Vitamin A, which helps clear up acne and promote skin repair.
Vitamin A?- PREVENTS overproduction of skin cells in the outer layer which means fewer dead skin cells =no clogging your pores!
2.) BERRIES
Berries such as, Blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, cranberries, have many powerful antioxidants, which not only helps  your skin, but also with preventing cancers! Berries also have phytochemicals which give your complexion a boost by protecting skin cells.
3.) CARROTS
carrots are good for cleaning up breakouts and your eyes!. They have a lot of Vitamin A,!
4.) AVOCADOS!
They are rich in omega-9s, vitamin E and antioxidants to help your skin glow, and it's got loads of B6 to boost energy and fight fatigue! which means less under-eye baggage, too
.5.) SALMON
It is high in healthyfatty acids that are key for achieving healthy skin. Essential fatty acids such as omega-3s help keep cell membranes healthy by keeping out harmful substances as well as allowing nutrientsto enter cells and exit with waste products!
6.) GREEN TEA
Green tea is rich in antioxidants that reduce inflammation and protect cell membranes. But make sure to drink it warm! because when it cools,it looses a lot of the goodness!

Major Fashion Trend
BLAZERS !

A major fashion trend that's been growing in popularity is, wearing blazers. Of course, we see the Kardashian sisters rocking the look and looking fabulous  pairing a blazer with leggings and heels all the time, and many other celebrities.

Why is this look so in?  because it makes you look classy and it's effortless. You can pair any outfit with a blazer and instantly look more fashionable. I know mixing colors is in, but with blazers, only the main colors look good, such as black, white, gray, beige. Who would want to wear an orange or green blazer?

The only trouble I had with a blazer, was trying to find the right one, with a reasonable price. There are many blazers in stores, but they might look cheap with the material they use, or they might be too expensive. I finally found a blazer I loved, It was from forever 21for $30. It has a floral patter lining inside, it's fitted and it somewhat flares out at the end, giving it a girly look.

Skin Tip Of the Day

A tip i'd like to share, that works for me, is having your own towel to use just for your faceThis is a simple trick anyone can do. It helps because you won't be sharing germs and bacteria by sharing towels. Towels are great breeding grounds, and retain a lot of bacteria, so remember to switch it out every once in a while.  But this really works! Just keep a towel that only you use, and use it just to dry your face with, don't use it for your hands.

Fall 2011 Runway Fashion
RED & BLUE

A trend that happened to come up a lot for the Fall 2011 fashion show, was Red and Blue.

This look can be fun to wear, if its worn the right way. Now the looks in the fashion show were really bold, but you can still try this look!, its fun because mixing different colors is really in this fall. Don't be boring and match!, try different things, you can wear a red top and accessorize with different shades of blue, or the other way around.

I found this picture in the Lucky magazine, and it's an example of a way to wear these colors, without having to go all out.

This is me trying this look!, I wore a teal-blue cardigan with a red scarf!, Be bold! Branch out and try new colors and combinations!.

 Simple tricks to prevent breakouts

1. Do NOT touch your face. It's that easy. Your hands have been everywhere, which means tons of bacteria that are waiting to get in contact with your face to live and reproduce. so keep your hands clean  and keep them away from your face!,

2.WATER!, Drinking enough water can not only give you beautiful skin, but also healthy hair. Water is pure, and gets rid of all the toxins in your body, and flushes them out. Try by drinking at least 7 glasses of water a day for a week, and see the difference for yourself!

3.Wash your face.  making sure to wash your face at least twice a day, morning and night, can help a lot with breakouts. It gets rid of dirt and makeup and cleans your pores.

4. Dont pound on makeup to cover your breakouts! Yes it might hide them for a few hours, but it only clogs your pores and makes it worse! Try to go light on the makeup, it will help.

5. Eat your fruits and veggies and exercise! Fruits and vegetables have many good things about them, they have antioxidant, many vitamins and minerals that keep your skin healthy and glowing. Exercise keeps your body circulating, which gives you a healthy body.
Fall's hottest color?
The color that's REALLY in this fall? It's mustard yellow!.

Celebrities, such as, Kourtney Kardashian and Rihanna, are rocking this style for this coming fall. And of course, this look is also found on the runway.

This look is easy to wear,  you can wear a mustard top, with almost any color blazer.cardigan, or coat. Or, you can grab these cute mustard shorts, layer with black leggings and a black top with a cardigan to add a pop of mustard! And to turn it up, wear some mustard, and add a pop of red! Ex- red scarf. RED LIPS

CelebFashion- Kate Middleton
Kate Middleton is fabulous and fashionable. This look that she's wearing with a long coat, leggings, and heels will look flattering on any body type, and is an easy and affordable way to look cute when it gets chilly out.

These two coats are from Forever 21both for about 35-40$, Forever 21 has many more different types of coats and different colors, so it can be fun to mix and match coats.  Leggings  can be found anywhere, and at forever 21 they cost around 4-7$! however, this does mean they can get torn fast.

The shoe to the left, is very cute and would match both coats, giving it style with the bow on the back of the heel, from Bakers. And a cheaper alternative is the ankle boot on the left, which can be found at forever 21.

SKIN SKIN SKIN

Taking care of your skin the right way is extremely important to get good skin. I had skin problems in jr.high and up until jr year of high school. During my senior year in high school, I started exploring different skin care lines and products. It was a long process, but now being a freshmen in college, I have figured out a routine that works for me, I have oily skin in my T-zone area, and after using many different products, I have put these together.
-I use the Clinique 3-step system twice a day, which has helped my skin extremely, then every night. I am a "3" but in the winter I'm a (2). It's important to figure out what number you are. I absolutely love this product, it's a little pricey but it's worth it. It takes a while to see results, but eventually you will.
-I use the Clinique spot gel, which helps individual pimples, after using that sometimes they disappear overnight!.
- I use the clean and clear morning burst twice a week, this helps with scars, and exfoliates the skin. It is important to not over exfoliate! It can break you out more. This product wakes up your skin, it contains caffeine as an ingredient, and is very refreshing to use when you wake up.
-And last, I use the Devita cappuccino cocoa mud masque once a week, It smells like cappuccino!. This helps clear your pores, and helps with circulation.  It might make your skin red for 5 min, but this means it's working! because your skin is circulating. I use to work at a pharmacy, and the nutritionist who worked there sold natural products, so I found it there, but It can also be found in department stores and online.

                                                                                                  (my definition)

Fashion? Fashion is the definition of YOU, your style, your way to show the world who you are. No one can tell you what you should and shouldn't wear, its YOUR choice, YOUR style. Fashion is much more than matching the right top with the right heels, its about what heels YOU like to match that top with. Fashion is creative, Fashion is art. Fashion is the paint, and your  body is the canvas. With one outfit, YOU can make a statement of who you are.
